Wirrabirra P&C is hosting a Family Fun Night on Thursday 15 February from 5pm to 7.30pm.
The evening is not planned as a fundraiser and more an opportunity for families to come together at school and be entertained by Peter Combe singing live in the undercover area. Many of you would have grown up with Peter and his music for children and I’m sure your children will love him just as much.
The concert will be between 5pm and 6pm followed by some family games and either a picnic tea on the grass from home or food and drinks from food trucks. There will be a Burger and Wings truck and an Ice Cream, Slushy and Coffee truck. Food will be available for sale after the concert only and serving will commence at 6pm to avoid any disruption to the concert.
Peter has reduced the price of his show to a flat $8 per person. His normal fee for adults is much higher ($24 at the Fringe Festival). We are limited for space as we are keeping the show within the undercover area, so please purchase your tickets early from the canteen. Ticket sales are cash only please. Peter will also have CD’s for sale on the night.
On the evening the undercover area will be set up with an open area at the front for students only, as well as chairs for adults and children who want to sit with parents or carers. Part of the concert will be sitting and listening followed towards the end with Peter inviting the audience to get up and dance. If you have small toddlers (3 years or less) and they sit on your lap and not wander distracting from the performance, their entry will be free. All children must be accompanied by an adult to attend the concert and be supervised by a parent or carer. Please do not send children unattended. For safety and duty of care they will not be admitted.
Parking will be in Jenkinson Street and at the Richard Rushton Centre. If possible, I encourage you to walk to save any possible problems. Steve Richards, Principal
